The Backrooms are a maze of randomly segmented rooms and corridors. The first three confirmed levels have three distinct characteristics in common.
There are three generally recognized levels, with additional numbers unconfirmed. Each level has its own distinct set of recognizable characteristics. Aside from the aforementioned characteristics, each level contains a variety of different objects. Random items such as furniture, tools, and weapons are examples of these. Some of the items in the Backrooms can be extremely useful, and can sometimes mean the difference between life and death.
The Backrooms are thought to warp a traveler's mind to what they believe is most monotonous while retaining its core elements. Many people believe one thing while others believe another. The levels also contain various creatures that can either attack you or ignore you - their behavior appears to be as random as the Backrooms itself. The existence of monsters is supported by the fact that no one has ever made it out. Unfortunately, most people who come into contact with these entities only get to post an odd image or story before their accounts go dark.
If you aren't careful and noclip out of reality in the wrong places, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where there's nothing but the smell of the old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately 600 million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in.
